About Me
I commute often and tour occasionally. Can't live without my bike, which is turn has never disappointed me. Sun or rains, heat or cold, damp or foggy, my current 180 never gave up riding and riding on! I remember when Ajmer was flooded due to rains, I was stuck in the city, but the bike went on and on until I reached my home. A machine of iron took me places, that machine of iron suffered many a scratches, the machine kept erasing sweat from my face, the machine kept giving cages a chase, Today you tell me the machine has no life, its worthless as a piece of fork or a knife? it never let me down, since my deepest memory, so you keep saying its worthless and I will disagree, As long as there're stars and as long as there's a sun, me and my bike will ride together as one, we'll catch those cages but we'll have mercy too, but we'll be "we" rather than "me and you".... This is some amateur poetry... :D
Do I think I have contributed to the motorcycling community, however a
small way it may be?
Yes, I have contributed in these ways: 1. I have suggested good bikes to my college friends, net friends or other people, based on their specific needs, and many of them who own Discover 100, RTR, etc. still feel thankful for my precise judgement of their needs. 2. I was active on biking community, in an effort to be a better biker, and help new members be the same too. Clearly, I agree its a small contribution.
How can I contribute more in the future to the motorcycling community?
I want to hold seminars on the motorcycle and bikers, in my own city Ajmer. After getting myself fractured in a accident, I felt it was necessary to do this. I had only 2 choices- let someone else do it, or I do it! The latter seemed the only choice I had, as no one did anything. I'm just looking for some chief guests/ biking celebrities from big cities, brush up my biking knowledge, and I'll do it!
My Touring Experience
Total Kms. Clocked
Best Ride
I had an interview at Jaipur and told the same thing to my dad. But my main purpose was to tour and to spend some time alone with my bike. I rode it constantly for 50 kms at max, before taking breaks. On that day, I learned not only how tiring touring can get, but also how much it can be.
One dream ride that I want to do
Udaipur to Jaisalmer highway on a Ninja 650R.
Places I have ridden
Jaipur, Ajmer, Pushkar, Ghaziabad.
Best touring Bike according to me
Kawasaki Ninja 650R.
Tips to budding tourers
Get the bike serviced before a tour, and ride it for 100 kms or so within the city after service to check everything. On highway, overtake only when there's enough space available, that too with horn. Overtake with momentum and the bike in powerband, even if it involves lower gears. If you take long time while overtaking, your risk increases manifold times, as the other vehicle might change lanes, etc.
