About Me
A writer by profession and a rider by passion, I just love to ride with or without any reason. Asked my dad for a motorcycle when I was 10 yo; got a cycle instead that I still treasure. Later, earned myself a used and abused Yamaha Rx135, only to restore it to its boisterous best. A beast in disguise it taught me the grammar of motorcycling and much more. Codenamed ShadowFax, it sets my pulse racing every time I see her. Still runs like a dream and will always do. Of late, I thought of extending my family that marked the homecoming of Elmo – A black Yamaha FZ16. A blessing in disguise for the urban warrior that I am, it never failed to impress no matter whatever I put it through. Much as I enjoy the raw untamed power of ShadowFax, I relish the subtle aggression and the sheer refinement that Elmo exudes.

Do I think I have contributed to the motorcycling community, however a
small way it may be?
I try my significant best to contribute to the Motorcycling community, whenever I can. Some of my notable initiatives – 1. Wear a helmet and make the pillion wear a helmet (Irrespective of the pillion being a he or a she) 2. Ride sensibly and avoid road rage. 3. Take care of the motorcycle and keep it in the best condition possible. 4. Take care of the other people that are a part of the Road.

How can I contribute more in the future to the motorcycling community?
Promises to be kept – 1. Learn more about motorcycles and motorcycling and participate in discussions and deliberations on issues related to the subject. 2. Pass on the passion of motorcycling and the ideology of safe riding to upcoming riders and make them responsible motorcyclists. 3. Spread the message that motorcycling is a good thing and not bad as it is constructed to be, in short try my best to eliminate the taboos associated with motorcycling.

My Touring Experience
Total Kms. Clocked

Best Ride
Delhi to Shoja via Shimla, Naldhera, Jalori Pass. A fantastic tour with eight riders and five motorcycles. We rode where there was road and also where there was no road. Greeted by snow, flanked by the Sutlej river and garlanded by numerous waterfalls, it was a ride of a lifetime.
One dream ride that I want to do
New Delhi to Guwahati.
Places I have ridden
Assam, Meghalaya, Himachal Pradesh, Uttrakhand, Rajasthan and Hyderabad.
Best touring Bike according to me
The Royal Enfield
Tips to budding tourers
Enjoy the experience. Do not overstress and do not overdo. Keep the paperwork updated. Respect the locals and customs. Do a little research on the destination. Learn to work on your bike. When in doubt, stop refocus and ride away.
