About Me
Hello every one.My name is Abhishek Gupta and I live in City of Taj,Agra. I am an ordinary biker with an extraordinary biking. First God created animals then humans then me A BIKER. In 95 my father started training me how to ride a bike but from 95~2002 I rarerly get the bike,hardly 5 times a month.But in 2002 I got my license & first bike. Basically I am a Businessman but before a businessman I am a hardcore biker by Heart and an avid tourer. You can call me DEADLY BIKER aka IMMORTAL RIDER aka ROAD MISSILE. Why these names, just be with me and you will agree. First I used to give names to my bikes too but soon I left this habbit because once I gave name 'UMA PARVATI' to my Hero Honda CD-100 as its registration no.had initials 'U M A' and I am big fan of Sanjay Dutt and in one of my favourite movie 'Daud' Sanju Baba calls himself 'Uma Parvati' while introducing to Urmila. So my 'UMA PARVATI' used to be my companion for some time during my 12th grade but my brother sold it and I was left crying for not to sell it. That day I came to know that I get emotionally attached with my bikes and I can't bare the fact of getting separated. The same thing happened when my Bajaj Cub was sold out.It was the first two wheeler I started by kick.It was named '3geared rocket'. Since that time I never let my family to sell any two wheeler we own and for two wheelers my home became underworld- "Idhar entry to free hai par exit nahi" or "Ye one way hai jaani". My friends and relatives know me as 'The Bike Collector',as I got 12 different bikes and all are master in there class. Other guys like girls but I like Bikes more than them and really like to collect different types of Bikes. I'm a Passionate Biker who loves biking at every moment of his life.I have discoverd almost whole India on my different bikes,mostly solo.Nothing can stop me either its freezing nights or boilig days or rainy evenings. Generally people go from bottom to top but as I am a bike freak I did it reverse;I did toughest rally 'Raid-De-Himalaya' first then came down to touring. Because of biking events I gradually started doing touring as I had to go in different places in India for different competetions and then I started doing endurance record.Did number of endurance runs like- Agra~Hyderabad (1300 Kms.) in 18 Hours; whereas A.P Express takes 23 Hours. Agra~Mumbai (1400 Kms.) in 16 Hr 30 Min; whereas Ag-Kranti Rajdhani takes 17 Hours 25 Min. Agra~Bangalore (2000 Kms.) in 32 Hours. Agra~Ajmer (400 Kms.) in 4 Hr 35 Min. Bangalore~Hyderabad (550 Kms.) in 6 Hr 15Min. Max. Kms. Ridden in a day(24 Hrs.) is 1918 Kms. There are many others but are of small distances of 200-500kms. I proudly say-I am the second fastest means of transport in India;after Airplanes.Spend a day with me and you will not find any one more bike crazy than me. All my friends say if Abhishek has ridden bike hard & its still here then it has got something.Some day companies will be stamping their bikes 'Abhishek tested' I am a desperate biker too as when I buy any new bike I generally take it for The Running-in Ride or you can say on Honeymoon so that after 2-3 days I can enjoy with my bike at its best. I got a long wishlist of bikes with me which I want to own before I start my journey to the other world (bole to khallas). I have dream that one day will come when people will ask my age and I'll simply answer; go and count my bikes in my special bike garage. I don't know why my normal dreams become abnormal for others. Like when I say to anyone that I'll like to Drift the Harley Davidson on the offroads of Himalayas,he just walks away.Don't know why. I can go on and on forever with bikes,about bikes just because all try to be a biker but I am a BIKER.
Do I think I have contributed to the motorcycling community, however a
small way it may be?
Yes but only after I joined xBHP.As till I was unaware of this community I don't even know that there are different types of bikers like stunters,tourers,etc the only thing I know was to race race and race. And that too on public streets. But xBHP make me understand about different phases of biking and bikers. I get assured that I am not only one who is crazy about bikes but if you are a xBHPian then definitely there is a biker somewhere inside you. And so I started following traffic laws and told my friends to do the same. In my city now some public started obeying traffic lights but 5-6 years ago no one do that and when I used to be with my biker friends,we usually stop at red signal occupying the whole lane so the traffic at back had to stop forcefully. Other than that when some bikers noticed my riding gears they also want that and I provided riding gears to many bikers in my city as no riding gear shop is in my city.One more thing I did was to insist bikers to get their bikes service at proper intervals and at authorised service centers only,use genuine parts and shared some basic knowledge about bikes.
How can I contribute more in the future to the motorcycling community?
Well,I think that human above 25 years generally don't like to listen lecture or don't want to learn much, so according to me we must organise biking camps in colleges or places where youth can be approached easily, as we all know that if we learn at this age then we can consider it for lifetime,like education. In these biking camps we must tell them about traffic laws, difference between bikes, how to choose right bike, how to maintain their bikes, basic knowledge for solving small problems, getting familiar with tool kit, how to tackle the panic situation, difference between city riding and highway crusing and most important that we got race tracks for race so don't waste your skills on road, importance of riding gears and first aid kit. There are lot more activities we can do.

Best Ride
There are many so its quite difficult, as every endurance record has got some specialties,my first long ride,first himalayan ride,first running-in ride,etc. but the only one which threatened me was First time Raid De Himalaya in 2005 when I was just 21 years old and it was first time I participated in such a difficult rally for Leh. You will not believe that I don't even know what term off-road means and till that time had not done any motocross also and I was there to race. In first 50 kms. I felt down 7 times and was cursing myself for being a bike racer.Every turn was taking me towards the dangerous side of valley road as I was not able to manoeuver the high speeds. In a stretch of 1 km I felt down 5 times and straight from 80 kmph I came down to 10 kmph. Everyone passing by me was asking if I am ok or there is any problem with bike but how can I tell them that till now with bike my confidence is also broken 12 times. I as a human was totally down and scared but biker inside me some how keep on going and with 15 total falls in a day I completed the day.After few hours when I saw my name in bottom part of the list I was like.... Hell yes I did it because it was the list of next day starting racers.Every one was shocked who came to know that this is first time I am participating in any type of such rally without having any experience of official racing. Many of them said that you are totally insane for your bike but you made a history and that too on 150 cc Pulsar thats amazing. Though all of them were very experienced racers and I was just a novice but this comment of those racers was quite special for me. Now till that time I only visited Rohtang pass with my family and that also twice in my lifetime. I used to think that Rohtang Pass was the end of India(remember I was just 21 years old boy without any knowledge of internet and all)but during that raid when I crossed Rohtang Pass and enterd in spiti valley first time in my life I was thinking that I am in some other country and I was so excited that I am the only one in my whole family who crossed India and that too on bike. When I asked about this then every racer was laughing at me and was asking "tu aaya kaha se hai? without any information where you are racing, with whom you are racing; you are here for racing? How strange is this?" But know what I was there just for racing. The first raid was really a memorable experience for me.
One dream ride that I want to do
If its a dream then will like to go to U.S.A from India via road if a bridge is made.

Best touring Bike according to me
Well for touring I don't discriminate between my bikes as I can go all day long on my 100 cc Bajaj Platina or on 250cc Kawasaki Ninja. The only thing is that you just have to ride and enjoy so I can do it with any bike bcoz its not race its just pleasure
Tips to budding tourers
Lots of tips are there which came to me through experience. 1. Always love your bike and keep it maintained or get timely service. 2. Must know about basic toubleshoot tips. Keep some emergency spares like tube,spark plug, etc. 3. Wear Proper Riding Gear. 4. If you are new then try to cover distance in daylight. 5. If possible must ride with some experienced tourer first and get to know highway manners for day and night. 6. Remember you are touring for enjoyment so don't stress yourself
My Racing Experience
About my racing career
Not much because my family did'nt allowed to do race. But then also managed to do one local autocross event organised by Hero Honda Dealer Participated 3 times in Raid~De~Himalaya. Some Yamaha and Castrol Events.

In India for track Kawasaki Ninja 250R and for off Road modified HeroHonda Karizma/TVS Apache 180 RTR . Internationally Yamaha M1 and for off Road KTM 690 Rally.
Tips To Budding Racers
1.Race on race tracks only because a dancer/artist shows his dance/art on stage only not on road. 2. Use proper riding gears. 3.Listen to proffesionals. 4.Practice hard so that race can be easy. 5.First learn to control then increase pace because slow and smooth....and smooth is fast.

Though we don't have any particular place for stunting in India so try to do it on outskirts of city not on highway but a publicfree place. Use all riding gears. And first try to learn easy instead of executing hard
